Programmes

Five programmes, built from six learning needs.

The six came out of our own research with founders, HR heads and learning heads. Every programme is customised before it is delivered. The stance does not vary. The session always does. If you would rather begin with the problem than the programme, start there.

What we call it, and what it is called in a budget line.

The six learning needs, in both registers.
What we call itWhat it is called in a budget line
IdeationInnovation capability, creative problem solving, ideas that survive contact with the business
Bonding, breaking the barrierCollaboration across silos, belonging, cross functional working, trust in teams
Value and brand affirmationCulture and values activation, living the values, employer brand
Leader as a performerLeadership presence, executive communication, manager capability
RejuvenationRecovery and re engagement, burnout prevention, wellbeing

The sixth is not a programme. It is the reason the other five get bought from outside: some things a company cannot say to itself.

The five.

01

Ideation · Any team · 1.5 to 2 days

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

The full arc of design thinking, lived rather than lectured. Participants generate an idea from scratch, analyse it from angles they did not choose, build a prototype or a performance, and test it in front of the room, which hands them either a feedback loop or the confidence to discard it and start again.

02

Stress, bonding, psychological safety · Any team · One day, seven working hours

പാടി മുന്നേറാം, Paadi Munneram, Let us Sing.

A team writes and sings its own songs. Singing badly in front of colleagues and not being punished for it is psychological safety learned as evidence rather than announced as a policy. Rehearsal makes dependability audible: if one voice comes in late, everybody hears it, and the group repairs it in the next bar without a review meeting.

03

Leadership presence · Senior management · 3 days, residential

Leader as a performer.

A leader has to hold attention, tell a relatable story and create a room where people speak up, which is exactly a performer's work. Body awareness, voice and movement drawn from Kalari, Capoeira and animal movement, and an intensive theatre process ending in a performed piece where every participant runs an actor's full cycle: entry, recital, exit.

04

Rest and release · Large teams, 100 and more · One evening, 4pm to midnight

Unwind.

Mild movement and stretching to live ambient music, singing together, the Art Chair, where a randomly chosen participant takes the chair and offers one act, karaoke, and a 90 minute performance blending live and electronic music.

05

Livelihood and ideation · 25 artists · 1.5 to 2 days, residential

Artist cohort, sustainable art practices.

An artist spends years achieving proficiency, and that proficiency seldom creates a sustainable livelihood. The cohort ideates, prototypes and presents products built out of their own practices, with feedback from peers, the facilitator and the hosting body.

Also available

Two smaller pieces.

The Creativity Choice

A five part course: Demystify, Open, Leverage, Connect and Sustain. It is built on the research showing that creativity is a set of deliberate choices rather than a trait somebody either has or does not have.

Art games for ice breaking

Twenty theatre and music games used across the five sessions, available as a facilitator handbook for in house teams who want to run the openings themselves.

The fastest way to understand this is to be in a room where it happens.

Eight people, one room, no preparation.
